First Time Here?
We’re so excited to help you find your new furry friend! Our adoption process is simple, supportive, and designed to make sure you and your pet are the perfect match. Whether you're a first-time pet parent or adding to your family, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Adoption Process
Application
Fill out our Adoption Application so we can learn about your home and lifestyle. Our team will review it and reach out if we have any questions.
Meet
Once approved, we’ll set up a time for you to meet the cat(s) you’re interested in, either at a foster home, cat cafe, or shelter.
Adopt
Once you’ve found the right match, we’ll complete the adoption with a contract and fee, which helps cover vet care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services. You’ll receive medical records and care details.

Pricing
*Cats and kittens in higher demand may have increased adoption fees. These fees help cover the costs of felines with greater medical needs or other special care requirements*

How do I pick up my cat?Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with next steps. You will meet the kitty in their foster home or the shelter and can take them home same-day as long as the adoption fee is paid and you have a carrier to transport them home. If you are adopting from the NoCo Cat Cafe, you can meet them during business hours throughout the week but adoptions are finalized on Saturdays.
-
Can I put a hold on a cat I'm interested in?You have 7 days to schedule and complete a meet-and-greet with the foster. Once you've met the cat, you’ll have 24 hours to let us know whether you'd like to move forward with the adoption. This allows us to keep things moving efficiently and ensures that our cats spend as little time in limbo as possible. If we don’t hear from you within the 24-hour window, we may move on to the next interested applicant.
-
What goes in to my Adoption Fee?Spay or neuter surgery FVRCP vaccines (1–3 doses depending on age) Rabies vaccine (if old enough) Microchip with lifetime registration Flea treatment (If needed) Deworming (roundworms, tapeworms, etc.) FIV/FeLV testing (if over 4 months old Vet exams and follow-ups Treatments and medication for various illnesses

Do you offer refunds if I return my pet?Adoption fees are NON-refundable. If the adoption doesn’t work out, your adoption fee will be used as a donation for the rescue, which is the only way we can continue our mission! That being said, we ALWAYS welcome our cats back if circumstances change. When we rescue them, we are rescuing them for life. We want them safe and cared for, no matter what We encourage open conversations PRIOR to adoption to ensure a great fit and are here to support you afterward as well
